 Heroic Flags

Due to overwhelming demand, we estimate a 4-5 week lead time on most orders. In the meantime, please support Lorenzo in his GoFundMe project below.

Welcome to Heroic Flags.  Lorenzo's mission is to give back to his community's struggling Vets and special needs children.  Please consider purchasing one of his handmade flags.

Honoring Our Nation's Frontline Healthcare Workers

Today, the world has a new enemy, the Corona virus and to defeat it we are relying on a new group of heroes, our frontline healthcare workers (first responders, nurses, emergency physicians and many more).  Their courageous efforts and strength are inspiring everyone across the world.  However, they are risking their lives (and some are even dying), to serve their communities during the COVID-19 crisis.
I would like to honor our new heroes by sending a Heroic Flag to the most impacted hospital in each state of the United States.  The flags could be displayed in hospital lobbies or cafeterias to serve as a reminder of how much their communities appreciate their sacrifices.

Additionally, I will donate the net proceeds to support our forgotten heroes (homeless vets), as their needs have not diminished during the pandemic.  I plan to support the Yellow Ribbon program at Turning Points  in Bradenton, FL.

Let's Do Something

Heroic Flags allows me to support local charities while honoring all those who serve (including healthcare workers - above thumbnail). See how I make these works of art and the wonderful support I received over the last several months.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My Story

How my eyes and heart were opened!

During the winter of 2019, I was with my church youth group serving meals at a local food pantry when I came across a homeless Veteran.  The encounter made an impression on me, 'How could America abandon the service men and women who fought for our freedom?', I thought to myself.  I wanted to do something about it but wasn't sure how a 14 year-old boy could make an impact.  During the summer, my prayers were answered!  With no school to keep me busy, my dad suggested I find a DIY project to keep me occupied.  One thing led to another and with a few modifications I created a unique wooden American flag.  It looked so cool that my brother and all of my neighbors wanted one too!

With such a positive response, I began to wonder if I could use my talent to support the less fortunate people I had met at the soup kitchen earlier in the year.  I reached out to Turning Points (a non-profit organization supporting veterans in Bradenton), and instantly hit it off with them. They invited me to their Christmas Gala (see pic above), where I donated a flag for their silent auction and kicked off the evening by performing the National Anthem on violin. By the end of the evening, I sold two flags and helped Turning Points raise over $2,300 for their mission!  My summer DIY project became a much bigger endeavor than I could've ever imagined.

I also support Suncoast Charities for Children in Sarasota.  They do amazing work within our community for children with special needs. I donated one of my flags to their Thunder by the Bay opening party and helped Suncoast Charities raise $1,000.

I pledge to continue supporting these charities by donating my flags.  Helping those less fortunate than us is something I’m called to do and am especially grateful to everyone who has supported me in my mission to give back locally.

Also - After donating a 7 foot flag to Sarasota Memorial Hospital to honor our local medical staff, I decided to start a GoFundMe project (see above).  I'd like to donate a flag to a hospital in every state in honor of our frontline healthcare workers. Their courage and sacrifice during the Covid - 19 pandemic make them true heroes that we should all be proud of.

Thank you and God Bless you.

Sincerely,

Lorenzo Liberti
